About ALAZ NIU (she/her)

Some years have passed since she decided to dedicate her life to music and built a home studio, working with DAWs, writing and composing songs for electronic music and piano.

​

Being a performance artist, and prof. contemporary dancer, she culminated years of experience on stage, in various creation processes, working with her voice in singing and speaking, with her body in dance and movement and the emotional sources expressed in acting.

She perceives music as part of her body and soul, a deep listening from within.

 

The pseudonym ALAZ NIU was chosen to be more abstract & universal, then her real name.

It contains the initials of her birth name and the tone of her voices most natural pitch:

A; inspired by the words wings (esp.: alas), flame (turk.: alaz) and new in the sense of renewal.

Her first single "Little Funny Things” which she co- produced with Alberto Lucendo is set to be released in March 2025.

The single will be accompanied by a music video developed & produced by ALAZ NIU, together with a team of professionals in Berlin-City.

Since then she has been playing her first release concert and announced her upcoming collaboration

with the spanish Label Protomaterial Records for her Debut EP in 2026. 

​

Currently working with Maya Postepski: a collaboration for a Dance Remix of her first Single "Little Funny Thing" to be released soon.
